I called last week on Thursday and also this week on Tuesday and left messages both times for them to call me back regarding becoming a new patient. No call backs- and there is no human to answer the phone at this place. You go through a ridiculous phone tree and then get to an Automated system where the message with their fax number is recorded so fast you can only get the first three digits... then you would have to go through the ridiculous phone tree all over again to get the next couple of digits. If have a lot of money and time could be the place to go but to find what the problem is after 2 mri's they want to get tissue samples and another mri check something else so more time and $4900 dollars just to see what the problem may be ... If i had surgeon money that would be a no brainer lets move forward..THE MATTER WAS DISCUSSED AND SOMEONE WAS SUPPOSE TO GET BACK WITH ME
I’ve read the reviews and it appears I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. My doctor referred me back in February due to an initial diagnosis of AIH. Since then, I’ve called multiple times, left several voicemails, and my doctor’s office has resent my file on several occasions — yet I have not received any follow-up. It’s extremely disappointing that there are no other hepatologists available in the Tampa Bay area. My son's doctor has send the referral several times in the past year and we haven't heard back, I've left several messages and nothing, I went in personally and got no where my son is young and has liver failure hasn't been seen in over a yr. You guys really suck no one calls back unbelievable
Instead of the hepatologist telling the family that we needed to find a transplant center that was more liberal with their approach for alcoholic related liver disease and transplantation, we were told to have my mother, who had a MELD score of 40, show a willingness to commit to sobriety by going to rehab. She was released from the hospital before she was stable to a physical therapy facility before she was sent to a rehab, never once showing any resistance to the suggested substance abuse treatment program.
