My husband left his work office because he had severe abdominal/back pain. Waited almost 3 hours in the lobby. When I arrived he was still waiting in the lobby, left immediately to the Brandon hospital.
I have been very pleased with my previous experiences with Tampa General Hospital UNTIL NOW!!! I woke up at 1 am and went to the bathroom and it hurt really bad to pee and there were signs of a UT in fection. So I go to the closet Tgh ER. Walked in and was greeted by someone I had previously met. Checked in and after a mild wait I got called back and also gave a urine sample. It contained blood which really upset me. Go literally anywhere else if you can. 4+ hour wait time on a Wednesday night. I would hate to see the wait times on an actual busy night. Extremely disappointed that I can't trust this place in our time of need.
I left the ER after waiting nearly 3 hours and not even being seen. When I watched those all around me coming and leaving and I was still waiting. I asked lady at desk what the order was she replied we take patients in the order of necessity, I completely agree, however, in a 3 hour span there was no time for me ???? I had had a seriously debilitating migraine for 2 days; missed work and a history of seizures and this was of no importance. I call it refusing to see a patient.
