RecommendedTex’s Star Grill on Rufe Snow is legit. Best Chicago Style Italian Beef and Chicago Style Hot dog I have had in awhile. Owner is from the Northside of Chicago and has the food on point. Felt like I was back in the city.
Being from Chicago, this was our go to place when we first moved down here. However the last two times we were in there the gyros meat was cut in chunks, and just wasn't very good. After it happened the first time we figured just a bad day, but after we got the same mess the 2nd time we never went back

One of our favorites...almost fast food in a nice dining area. They have everything from Italian beef sandwiches & Reubens to gyros. Their French fries, done extra crispy, are arguably the best fries we’ve ever had. So hot, fresh & just a little crunchy outside, tender in the middle...Yum!!! Their staff is fast, courteous and friendly. The owner makes a point of stopping by the table for friendly banter. We truly feel welcome and appreciated.

Excellent food from their burgers to their gyros. Their prices are pretty reasonable, two can dine for about $20. I highly recommend ordering “frings” with any combo, especially the Golden burger.
