I wrote a very disappointing review for Texas Pain Physicians. Their communication skills are lacking both on the phone and in person. The doctor was rude, and I had to wait two hours past my appointment time to be seen. If I could give zero stars, I would. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. Despite sending my medical records in advance and confirming their receipt by calling on Friday, nobody seems to know where they are. I've visited this location on two occasions and was not seen by the doctor. The first I waited for 1 hr and was never called, the second time i came back and my appt wasn't scheduled. This is totally ridiculous and unprofessional.
Love the Doctor and staff but the hassle is just unbelievable. Two appointments at the same time (one for med refill and one for injection) but then they canceled one of them about 20 minutes before I got there, but then put it back on schedule so I was taken to preop for injection after paying fee ($350ish). But then they made me walk over to a different building to pee and pay another fee ($78ish). I saw med assistant and took a cognitive test on an iPad and peed (never saw NP). I met with the nurse on my first appointment who made it clear medication is not the answer. That immediately through me off! The doctor came in and had me stand, wal, bend over and stick my hands out to test strength. He literally said one sentence to me. They immediately placed me on list to have numerous injections with no anesthesia unless I paid $100 cash everytime. I was given a minimal dose of an opioid and muscle relaxers. I was very pleased to meet the Dr Elhady, she was the best Dr I ever met, the reason I am putting my review because of lack of communication with their staff with the patient. I was out of pocket patient and being very bad pain after consulting the Dr she prescribed medication but after 3 days I tried to contact the Dr office to pass my message that I am not getting relief for my pain.
