These guys worked quickly on my pickup truck and appear to have really gotten the job done right. I think some of the guys here can be rough around the edges at times, but they sure did a great job for me. They told me it would take about a week to get the newer engine installed in my truck. They had it done in what I think was 3 days. I couldn't believe it.

Ii've been here on a couple different occasions over the past five or six years. The first time was when I was rebuilding an older model car and had them put in a newer transmission. They did what I asked them to do... didn't have any problems with it afterward.

I took my older model car here to have a transmission installed. no issues. good job. the price was ok.

BUYER BEWARE !! Bunch of Rip off artists ! They give you a low quote just to bring you in the door and then watch out to get completely screwed. I took my engine to be rebuilt and they told me that it will be $2500 for a complete rebuld regardless of what the engine needed and guess what... they found a bunch of " other Stuff " and told me that it will be $4300 ! I could have bought a completely rebuilt engine for $2400 Long Block and paid about a 1000 to put it all in and I would have still been ahead of the game. I had to ... read more

I'm real curious why there are only 3 referrals from customers all within 3-months only in 2009.On A business that has been in business for 74 yrs. That's another advertisement discrepancy. On the Web site they state they have been in business since 1975. I'm no great mathematician but I don't believe 1975 from 2011 = 74 years. Buyer just be ware. Look here in the next week or two I'll give you an unbiased review via my brother who has chosen to use Mtr Exchange to rebuild the motor in his truck. Look for it!

I've taken my 1997 Ford taurus to Texas motor exchange,and had my engine repaired.I had the pleasure to see how my car would be cared for,after seeing the the shop and its managment,oh and it's crew i was impressed,also to see how clean the repiar shop was, and how promped they were to start and finish the repiar on my car.So yes i would recomed Texas motor exchange to all my friend's and family. Thank you Don

It is refreshing to find companies that do what they say they will do. I received a quote on an engine installation from Don. My car was towed in for free, had the repairs made and got the car back when they said it would be ready. No surprises and I like that. I was able to budget my money according to the estimate that was given. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I will plan to use them again myself in the future.

I would recommend Texas Motor Exchange to this generation. I first used Texas Motor Exchange back in the 70’s, and again in the 80’s. I am retired and on a fixed income. I couldn’t buy a new car when my Buick’s engine went bad, so I went back to Texas Motor Exchange again. Don treated me fairly on price and helped me finance the repair. I just don’t know what I would have done without their help.
