Evidently I don't have patients rights. Finding out that after two open heart procedures. The second one was a replacement of my valves with metal and carbon, that I have a Ascending aneurysm that the surgeons knew and did nothing about. Both times. Not even tell me. Visited Texas Medical Center while in Houston. The atmosphere was impressive and expansive, and the overall experience felt well-organized and professional. Our daughter is currently working here, which gave us a chance to spend some time in the area and see just how massive this medical district really is. The area is beautifully maintained and enormous, with world-class hospitals, research institutions, and medical schools all concentrated in one place. Individual hospitals (like Methodist, Texas Heart) within TMC are world-class. The inter-hospital shuttle system is essential. An overwhelming but unmatched ecosystem for health.
