I truly wish I could be writing a glowing review of the Texas Institute of Dermatology and Dr. Ghohestani, but unfortunately my experience ended in disappointment, frustration, and what I believe to be unethical and misleading medical practices. I advise no one to go here, especially females. I felt very uncomfortable with each visit. The assistants would come in the room when I was half naked before procedures asking for my credit card to pay for services or to sign paperwork. I purchased 4 laser hair removal treatments for $1600 and saw zero reduction in hair in the bikini area. The doctors' assistants don't seem like they know how to use laser hair removal equipment or know anything about the products they sell. Highly recommended for those looking at removing unwanted semi-permanent makeup. The front staff standout professionals! I was informed of my procedure and aftercare. Went in to remove awful tattoo brows that were touched up back in July. Entire ink was removed in one treatment. Dr. Reza Ghohestani, ensured procedure was comfortable. He has a lot of experience. I really wanted to like the office as I felt the staff and doctor were very responsive. The doctor has developed a branded skin care line, which although is quite expensive, I really like. I came in to get treatment for melasma. I was prescribed his branded medical line and medications not typical for the diagnosis, but figured this “world renowned” clinic and doctor knows what they are doing.
