I had a mammogram at this facility because the denton hospital did not have any appointments available. The examination was not as thorough as the one in Denton and now I am told I need to have more images done that aren’t covered by insurance. Then, I start looking at the reviews for this place. Several patients encountered the same thing. Sounds like they don’t complete a thorough exam the first time, so you have to spend more money on the second exam that insurance doesn’t fully cover. This review is towards how their imaging center is set up. Be careful: This location will bill you as an outpatient facility part of Texas Health in addition to radiologist fees which means you will have a facility fee/ancillary charge. Even if you are covered at 100% for a mammogram or breast ultrasound with your insurance and even if you are in network they will attempt to charge you those extra fees that are supposedly not covered at 100% and that it would end up being taken out of your deductible. My experience was wonderful. It was my first mammogram and I was nervous but Kim (mammogram tech) was wonderful. She was so kind and patient. It took me one hour to get to Flower Mound but it was definitely worth the drive!
I recently had a mammogram at the Texas Health Women's Imaging Center in Flower Mound, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience.
