The food was delicious but it was so cold in the restaurant, the "hot" foods got cold very fast. The only disappointment was the lobster bisque, it was bisque with absolutely no lobster in it.
I had to wait forever for well done meats to still not come out well done. The meat server was rude. Tried talking to the manager but he did not resolve the issue. We sat in the corner and consistently got the end of the meat and had to wait forever for anyone to even come around. Used to come here and loved it.
Food was super good and the interior was real nice with a dome ceiling. Friday night , one cocktail, three deserts. It was $230 for 3 people on a Friday night. Ouch!
This location needs new management. I’ve been to Texas de Brazil across the US multiple times. I love Texas de Brazil, but this location has issues. Their quality lacks heavily. I’ve given it multiple chances but no improvement. Meat comes out cold and old constantly, as if they’re heating yesterday’s meat. Lack of seasoning. Even the salad bar, today the tomatoes were old and had an off taste, the shrimp lacked flavor and had an off taste. These are not issues at Texas de Brazil in IL. Please fix this location.
The service was slow. I worked there years ago and there used to be an actual standard. This felt more like an old country buffet type service. The meat was good when it came around but was the same 5 things. We were asked at the end (knowing we were getting full) if there was any requests, which took a long time to come. Ribs were shoe leather which I think they do on purpose so you don’t ask for more. Obviously they bring the cheapest stuff first so you get full off of that.
