Just wanted to provide a quick update on our ongoing situation. The company recently sent out a third-party mechanical engineer to inspect the HVAC installation and resulting damage. While we were cooperative and allowed full access, the inspection process raised some concerns. The inspector spent significant time documenting areas we felt were not directly relevant to the HVAC system or water damage. We hired Texas Comfort Systems to install a new HVAC system in June 2025. Within a week, the system leaked and caused damage to our garage. The owner came out and blamed “pre-existing ductwork,” even though the leak occurred in an area that had never leaked before. He refused to honor the warranty from the start. When the system shut down completely a second time, he again denied coverage, this time on a recorded call, without even inspecting the system. We hired Texas Comfort Systems in June 2025 to replace our HVAC system. Within a week of installation, we noticed water leaking through our garage ceiling. When I contacted the owner, he attributed the issue to old ductwork even though the leak originated from an area that had never leaked before. Later, they stated there were already buckets in the attic to catch leaks, but we have the receipt showing that the bucket was purchased the night after the installation documentation we still have.
