To preface, this will be long winded but intentionally. A couple weeks back I started to experience the symptoms of a pilonidal cyst. After meeting with my dermatologist, she gave me an anti-inflammatory shot in the region and referred me to Dr. Downs. She mentioned colorectal because she concurred that it was a pilonidal cyst and that I would need surgery. The scheduling and staff were responsive and wonderful. Avoid at all costs. Dr. Downs: No bedside manners. Lacks any sort of patient empathy. He's rude and dismissive. Poor ethics and reports from surgical centers employees not feeling comfortable around him. Staff: unintelligent, unhelpful All in all, a terribly mismanaged practice with a derelict MD at its helm. Over 45 minutes waiting, I asked if there was a hold up... the said "nope" (very clearly not a busy day). Patient care suffers greatly here, so will you. Avoid like the plague.
