I was initially referred to a doctor at Texas Colon & Rectal and over time discovered we weren't a good match so I switched to Dr. Lakshman and very pleased I did. He reminded me of a great car mechanic, you know the kind that walks in, looks at the issue, explains what needs to be done in that "I got this.." approach, and true to form Dr Lakshman performed both of my surgeries which prevented me from having to have a permanent colostomy which the previous doctor said wasn't possible. Dr. Turley is highly accredited surgeon, I checked. She was professional, compassionate, and is just a good soul. Such procedures can be very awkward for the patient. Dr. Turley has an ability to make you feel comfortable to be around and discuss candidly. She explained my colon surgery in detail, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease.
