Mr. Kuipers is a very encouraging teachers and cellist, he is very patient with my son and provides clear breakdown of difficult postures. He helps fix physical posture, shows proper bow technique, and makes practice fun. He also provides a lot of good opportunities for his students, like workshops, masteclasses, high quality concerts. His workshop provides immersive environment and great group ensemble experience. I highly recommend Texas Cellos and Mr. Kuipers.

We are so fortunate to have found Texas Cello. Our son is so lucky to be able to perform with some of the best cellists. The master classes have helped him tremendously and we see a lot of growth. The concerts are incredibly inspiring and we are very appreciative of all the hard work and effort. Thank you for introducing some of the best cellists to Texas!

I attended several concerts of Texas Cellos and the artistry, sound, ensemble was excellent. It is amazing how much beauty they bring out of the cello. Also the choice of repertoire is excellent. I am always moved and impressed by them. They feature inspiring artists and really connect with the audience. Highly recommended!

Not what was advertised. Not transparent. Not organized. The teachers were excellent (if you get to work with them), so I don't want this to reflect negatively on them. This review is of Texas Cellos as an organization and is especially pertinent if you are a younger student (non-collegiate) coming to the festival. Texas Cellos is wonderful unique experience for a young cello student can benefit from. My son had played with them for several years and has expressed that some of his fondest memories of playing the cello has been playing with them. He had the opportunity to work with great instructors and play with very talented peers. Lead by Joseph Kuipers, the group has played in a cave, with the TCU orchestra and at a variety of other venues. I highly recommend any cello student to join and be part of this unique cello choir group.
