Very kind, empathetic doctor.
Insensitive, short, and lacks empathy which I feel is much needed in this field. I have been in medicine for 21 years and am a mother of three premature babies, to which I followed closely with perinatology with my last two pregnancies (weekly) and have never met such an uncaring physician. She seems put off by doing her job, annoyed when asked questions and she literally walks towards the door while you're still asking them. Dr. Barrett was my second opinion, when I was at my lowest. My first dr was absolutely terrible, I was losing hope. Dr. Barrett listened to my issues. She was willing to give me a hysterectomy, and I thought about it, researched the procedure more (I wanted one). I tried to live with the issues, maybe they would get better with time. Dr. Barrett is completely unprofessional, you are just a number. She was completely condescending and rude in my appointment. She only sees you for the number on the scale.
Tessie listened to me. That was the greatest thing. I had to talk about some very personal areas in a very direct way, and she didn't shy away. She has always helped me so much with the female issues. She is an excellent physician and surgeon as well, having performed uterine ablation on me over 10 years ago. I have never been happier than with the ablation.
