Tessa actually made my situation worse. While my advocate was nice, they could not offer me legal or other help and I ended up being beaten up by my ex because I could not obtain a restraining order without counsel. I am still living in a very abusive situation being hurt daily and Tessa failed me. I applied for legal help multiple times and there were not enough resources to get my family to a safe space. If you need to relocate from afar for the safety of your life & you choose Colorado Springs because you have a secured job that has locations there. Every resource sends you to Tessa. They don't help. They don't return calls or emails. When they do answer the phone, they find a reason to transfer you to someones vm that never calls back. Good looking out TESSA......
I’ve had my pto hearing extended so that I may obtain legal help through Tessa. I came in as soon as the temp pto was granted and was turned away until the abuser was served. Two days later I came back after him being served and they said I needed to come back a different day because the intake takes 1 hour and they close early Fridays. The bad reviews are correct. PLUS RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION AND DISCRIMINATION ON WHAT SERVICES YOU’LL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE IF YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CHURCH. I’m already working with Colorado legal services to take legal action.
