I’ve had my pto hearing extended so that I may obtain legal help through Tessa. I came in as soon as the temp pto was granted and was turned away until the abuser was served. Two days later I came back after him being served and they said I needed to come back a different day because the intake takes 1 hour and they close early Fridays. The bad reviews are correct. PLUS RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION AND DISCRIMINATION ON WHAT SERVICES YOU’LL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE IF YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CHURCH. I’m already working with Colorado legal services to take legal action.
Tessa is trash. The employees are horrible to the clients. They will stalk you to your workplace and harass you, tell everyone your homeless to cause issues, and will break confidentiality. Staff will gaslight you. Takes them forever to answer the hotline. You could wait for days trying to call and they will ignore you on purpose. They allow some residents to do whatever they want while making other residents walk on eggshells. They are cruel and will not update you when there are random men working in shelter. I don't even know where to begin. They don't return phone calls, inquiries, seem insincere on the phone and constantly push you to different organizations and resources. I've experienced a TON of trauma, and I tried to explain this to them, and it felt like nothing short of re-traumatization. Look at the hours and you'll see that they aren't in this for victims.
