My 2018 model 3 had the Power Conversion System failure. They were actually cheaper than getting it repaired third party if both use new parts. $2,500 from Tesla, EV Iskra in Portland quoted $2,700. EV Iskra was also able to do it with a used part for $1,600 but I decided the day off from work and drive resulting in only a used part wasn’t worth it. Anyways Tesla did the PCS repair in about 2 hours from arrival to leaving, in addition to the CCS retrofit. Got some very impressive service technicians back there.
I had an outstanding experience with the team at Tesla Bend. From start to finish, the entire process exceeded my expectations. Impossible to talk to a real manager. Regional manager doesn’t respond to emails?
Being in Grants Pass, there are 2 options for service centers: Salem, and Bend. Both of these options are around a 4 hour drive, but I chose Bend because they could schedule an appointment sooner, and my computer had gone out. Drop off was seamless. We were able to get a test drive car to go grab lunch and explore a bit while they worked on getting the car ready. It was supposed to be done at 5.
