If you live in the South Augusta, Waynesboro, Goshen, or Hepzibah area this is a great vet! She is very intuitive and seems to really care about the animals and considers our budget even when I was unemployed! Dr. Mayer rocks!
We have selected Dr. Distler and her staff after visiting many "clinics" and found them to have a real "Hospital with caring, knowledgable staff that truely love what they do.
They are not the best place to take your animal. I recently took my dog & they gave me medicine for him. But they did not tell us that what he had was more severe than they made us believe. We thought if we gave him the medicine hed be fine, but within 24 hours we lost him. I advise everyone to not go there.
Dr. Mayer is a very caring, compassionate, and friendly Veterinarian, and the best vet Ive been to. Dr. Mayer treats my lab mix, as well as my moms two dogs and her neighbors dogs. She has a great attitude, is very approachable, and takes a lot of time explaining things, even though shes very busy. I never feel like Im being rushed out of there. I totally trust her and am very happy with the quality of care she provides!

We later adopted the little guy and received follow on care for him from South Pointe Animal Hospital. Today the puppy is happy, healthy and well adjusted, despite his traumatic puppyhood and complicated surgery to remove his damaged leg. I know his demeanor has a lot to do with the love and care that he receive... read more
They are very friendly and can always fit in appointments. I have left my cat and dog there to be boarded and they really take great care of them. I would highly reccomend this vet.
