Was in the elevator with a staff member just a bit ago, I was wearing a pronoun badge. That person looked at the other staff member and said "checking my badge to make sure I don't have pronouns. I don't do that, I'm a human". Pretty disheartening coming from a staff member that works with a diverse group of people. How hurtful and hateful.
The short man syndrome induced bald guy at the front desk who introduced his name as phillip was disrespectful to my cancer induced grandmother. Guy has zero customer service skills other than a whiny voice that makes me laugh
I recently interviewed at this facility and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. As someone who is new to the U.S., I left the interview feeling that I may have been unfairly judged based on factors unrelated to my qualifications. The interviewer was not transparent when I asked specific questions about the role and the workplace environment. I am a resident at Terwilliger Plaza which gives me access to the care of an onsite physical therapist, Amber Kozlow. I like how Amber cares about her patients and not just as a body part needing therapy. Amber was treating me for my knee replacement and recognized some of the symptoms I was experiencing as possibly caused by an embolism. Thanks to Amber I went to the ER where I was, indeed, admitted with a pulmonary embolism, which could have had disastrous results. I am extremely grateful to her for her care.
Terwilliger Plaza has a unique self governing model that is inclusive for all members and staff. Members here are engaged and actively involved with the community. Many great perks like programs, events, conversations and being involved with the community!
