a good as it gets Unfortunately my uncle had to spend a bit of time here due to a nervous breakdown. The staff was very friendly and stretched the rules a bit when it came to our time to visit him. They seemed more concerned about what was best for him than a rule that could be bent. I appreciate them for that.
My uncle had a judge ordered 5150 at Terrell SH for an involuntary commitment. They had him 14 days in Nov 2020 and records show my mother said she feared for her life and her family's life...they released him and said he was not a threat to others. He later attempted suicide in December of late 2020 and then murdered my mother in late January. They ignored this patient and never properly diagnosed him, they also ignored the family and never even discussed with them befor releasing him. He has been there 2 to 3 times, always... read more

this is the worst state hospital on the planet I was court ordered patient there and all I got was abuse from the staff

worked there, loved it, hated it but ultimately left due to racism However most people that work there care about the clients and do their best in difficult situations. I also worked in the jail and the inmates there were MUCH easier to treat.

believe it or not i was a patient here in the 70s and very young nurse snuck me out one evening and met her boyfriend and his friend in a waiting car and we drove around in the country drinking beer! ha ha! Can you even believe it??? TRUE.another time a mad woman stuck me in the eye with a pencil because i changed the channel in the day room!HOWEVER...they DID provide us with STATE CIGARETTES (which was the ONLY thing that saved me!)these are TRUE storied i swear to GOD.
