I am sharing the experience as a spouse of a patient. Social Workers Lisa and Lauren did a phenomenal job of apprising my daughter and myself of the rules and of medical assistance for the patient as well as helping us to understand the provisions of his medical insurance. Lisa called on many occasions to update me on what is taking place with the patient’s treatment. My 80 y/o mom was hospitalized after a UTI. She couldn’t walk and needed help getting out of bed. After a week at Delray Medical Center she was improved enough to be discharged to Terrace of Delray. Each day she would deteriorate a little more. She was not eating without help. They did not help her eat. She ate very little each day. After 5 days she was found contracted in bed.
