We came to know about this hospital through a GP referral. After the referral, the hospital contacted my wife as a follow-up, but at that time we had travelled to India. After returning, my wife booked the appointment, which was scheduled for today. When my wife arrived for the check-up, the front desk staff asked for her Medicare details and informed her that she needed to pay $200 upfront, which would be eligible for a rebate. Can thoroughly recommend Mark Donaldson. I attended several times for Macular Degeneration ( successfully treated with Avastin injections ). You would go a long way to find an ophthalmologist with such a gentle & pleasant manner.

I would like to provide feedback regarding my experience with Dr Yuen. Update( total 3 months delay for them to sent a referral , it’s insane and ridiculous, big delay for a toddler and no apologise at all) We were expecting the referral back to the public Children’s Hospital after our private consultation. Dr Yuen assured us that the referral would be sent both to my GP and to Children’s Hospital. Terrible service. They do not respect appointment times. I waited an hour and a half to be seen by Dr. Sonia Yuen, who took only three minutes to determine what was wrong with my eye. I asked several questions, and most of them were ignored. The doctor seemed rushed and simply opened the door for me to leave while I was still sitting and talking about my situation. I find it outrageous to charge $300 for an appointment that did not even last 10 minutes. I was not even given effective medication for my eye. Very disappointing... read more
