I attended this clinic because I start seeing floaters in my right eye my appointment was originally meant to be with Dr. Albert Aralar, but there were no nearby available dates and it was a medical urgency, so I agreed to be seen by whichever doctor was available and Dr. Sonia Yuen was available. I left Terrace Eye Centre without any real answers, I had to seek a second opinion and undergo additional examinations (that contradicts what the Dr. Sonia Yuen said) at another clinic to better understand what had happened. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. My experience with Dr. Yang and his team was extremely disappointing. They have little to no experience dealing with toddlers and showed very little understanding of how to make a young child feel comfortable during the appointment. They insisted on dilating my baby’s eyes, saying more imaging was needed, but failed to properly explain the process beforehand. Absolutely terrible experience. I came in with my 3-year-old son and was made to wait almost two hours with no warning. We were told my son needed his eyes dilated for further imaging, so they put the drops in. However, they only waited about 1 minute before calling us back into the room—well before the drops had even taken effect. No proper imaging was done at all. We came to know about this hospital through a GP referral. After the referral, the hospital contacted my wife as a follow-up, but at that time we had travelled to India. After returning, my wife booked the appointment, which was scheduled for today. When my wife arrived for the check-up, the front desk staff asked for her Medicare details and informed her that she needed to pay $200 upfront, which would be eligible for a rebate. Can thoroughly recommend Mark Donaldson. I attended several times for Macular Degeneration ( successfully treated with Avastin injections ). You would go a long way to find an ophthalmologist with such a gentle & pleasant manner.
