Wow. What an experience. Positive: they were able to process our elk quarters in a few days with a reasonable rush order fee ($100). Negative: they charged $300 to literally only cut the meat off the bone, toss it haphazardly into 2 boxes and then freeze it. None of it was labeled or individually wrapped. I’ve never heard of a butcher not label meat and give you a solid mass of meat. Try figuring that out while you’re visiting from OOT. Cash only. Inside atm only gets you $200 at a time.
Took our elk to this butcher. Ask butcher to do straight cut (cutting the meat into muscle groups). Cost 400 dollars. Butcher took meat off the bone. Put it all in 2 trash bag and then froze it… now we have 2 boxes of giant frozen cube of meat and we have no idea what each cut is. What kind of butcher doesn’t wrap up the cut individually and label it… what kind of butcher would need to specify that you need to wrap the cuts individually? what a rip off… charging 400 bucks for something I can do with a pocket knife in a parki... read more
I got my deer processed here in 3 different kinds of sausage, Italian sausage, summer sausage, and sausage sticks and every single one is DISGUSTING. Extreme plastic taste with an overload of salt. For the $340 it was a complete waste and had to be thrown away. The packaging was also horrible with tons of air in the packaging and could not be thawed in any kind of water. Will never go to this establishment again. They should refund me.
