She recommend that I have surgery and when I did the Physician found nothing to have indicate the need for it
Dismissive of symptoms. Would not even “look” to see where I was experiencing pain. I’ve been coming to this practice for years and loved all the other doctors and staff. This appointment has me scared to continue. I often have to see other doctors due to tight schedules. This is a prime example of how our healthcare system is failing us.
Dismissed when asking about menopause symptoms, because I'm not yet postmenopausal. Suggested I see a psychiatrist (!) and a sex therapist. Would not even discuss MHT options.
Asked for HRT because of perimenopause symptoms. After offering various non-hormonal options (which I have already tried) and suggesting I see a psychiatrist, she finally came out with 'no HRT until menopause'. This is an old-fashioned attitude based on outdated research. I will not return.
No bedside manner, no getting to know you (unlike everyone else at Penn Med). Her bizarre, stuck up attitude comes off as patients are wasting her time. Most questions are dismissed, answered obtusely, or in vague generalities that aren’t actionable or even helpful. As frame of reference, we have OBs in the family so my wife’s questions were quite informed and necessary to her particular pregnancy (e.g. she wasn’t asking can I drink wine or why does my back hurt). Dr. Benn is an incredible doctor. She is thorough, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. We were fortunate enough to have her deliver our son in 2019 and she has been my primary OBGYN since this time. I wish I knew more doctors who demonstrated such superior care standards. I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Benn.
Dr. Benn is amazing. I've sent ALL of my friends to her for regular GYN appointments and for their pregnancies. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and I trust her completely. She delivered my first child and I'm seeing her now for my second pregnancy. She's fantastic, as well as the rest of the team at FemCare OBGYN.
I love how Dr. Benn was so patient and kind. She explained everything and listened attentively to everything I had to say. I am so happy wit my visit and to call Dr. Benn my gynecologist
Dr. Benn is easily one of the best doctors I have ever seen. Each visit with her is nothing short of great, she is personal her professional, and very diligent as a doctor.
