On Oct. 22, 2019 I had a stromal tumor(GIST) removed in a 4 hour surgery with Dr. Pitea and his team. The pre-surgical consultation, the surgery and the post operative COMPLETE care and concern were 100%--"THE FINEST!" In gastroenterology circles he is known as "The Rockstar" for very good reason. He and his associates are the real deal!!!!! You can have confidence.
Was totally generous person with his time putting the needs, and treatment, of his patient first A first class person, and doctor.I feel blessed to have been treated by Dr. Pitea.
On 3/8/2019 the address and phone # listed on maps were incorrect, please verify. Dr Pitea seems like a nice guy but he was 2+ hours late for an appointment as I heard him chatting with patients in the next room for 45 min on what seemed not medical topics. His office told me he is known for "running very late but that's the price you pay for working with a genius".
An extraordinary doctor with passion and dedication for his patients. He saved my life. I received much better care from Dr. Pitea than from the so-called world experts at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
