I love our hospital! On several occasions I've witnessed their expertise and also great skill and compassion dealing with a difficult patient. I have recurring bloodwork done and I'm in and out so fast, the folks in the bloodwork lab are awesome! So glad we have this hospital and now the Vanderbilt connection.
The ER should have a seperate review section. The outpatient surgery department where i go for infusions is amazing. So i decided to go to the ER during a crisis... BIG MISTAKE. They offered zero treatment. Then pressured me not to use tenncare transport even tho i explained i cannot safely transfer into vehicles. I use a powerchair. The nurse promised it would be ok and she would help me in and she does it all the time. It was NOT ok. She grabbed my arm (i have a severe nerve pain condition). Had to visit the ER due to Addison's complication. All the staff was great, the nurses super friendly and efficient, and the ER doctor listened to my issues. I was extremely happy with my visit
Was told my copay was $1000.00 found out today it was only $200.00, beyond that service and treatment were great.
I went to visit my daughter and could easily overhear two nurses gossiping about her in the hall as I approached. “Can we help you find someone?” They asked. “Yea,” I said, “I’m seeing the person you’re out here talking about.” They then began to share information about her. Question. Since they don’t know who I actually am…Why are they sharing this info, to an unverified stranger … in the hall… My daughter felt targeted, judged and was distinctly uncomfortable.
