I recently phoned Tender Touch to inquire on spay and neuter prices for a few kittens and they quoted me $400+ per kitten 😳 Even on the high end the average cost around Kitsap to spay or neuter is $200 or under. I do have to give credit to the receptionist though, she was trying hard to see if there would be some kind of discount since I planned on spaying multiple at once. That is why we only offer the best for our patients, especially when it comes to major surgery. Our business is not subsidized as some low cost options are, we must charge these prices to pay for the equipment, care, and educated staff we have to provide the best for your baby's needs. We have been with Tender Touch for about 8 years and 2 dogs and have enjoyed their services. I recently complained about the charges on our invoice for treating our golden retriever via email. The response I received was an explanation of the work done, BUT our dog's medical records were attached and they essentially closed our account with no further discussion. We just moved to Kitsap and needed a new vet to see our 3 dogs and 2 cats. Tender Touch has seen two of our dogs so far (we try to stagger appointments to spread out the costs) and even during everything going on with COVID they have been so cheerful, patient and helpful. I find them reasonably priced and comparable to our vet on the east coast as far as immunizations are concerned.
