5/28/2026 at 11:30am was my appointment for wisdom teeth extraction and exam. I arrived 5 minutes early. After waiting 20 minutes I asked if they forgot me. I was told by the receptionist that they were backed up. After 45 minutes they suggested I wait in studio 3. I said perhaps they could give me the comprehensive x ray that is necessary for the procedure. I sit in studio 3. After 15 more minutes a Dr Chen walks in. This company never solves any issue for which you originally came in for. They try to sell you a much bigger treatment you never asked for and that is never covered by insurance. Waste of time
Sadly, Tend appears to be something of a racket. I’ve been seeing them for several years, and although there are many plusses (kind, gentle hygienists, clean office, convenient), they constantly try to upsell you. It’s one thing when it’s clearly cosmetic (“make that smile perfect!”), which is easy enough to refuse - it’s another when they attempt to scare you into getting treatment claiming if you don’t, your teeth will be permanently damaged, which also has happened with them pushing night guards & Invisalign. This place is a money / insurance grab. I went in with pain in my tooth from a filling THEY did - mind you I didn’t have pain before the filling (they insisted the filling had needed to be replaced), and the dentist said my pain wasn’t from the filling and had no idea why it hurt…..I can no longer chew food on that side of my mouth. She grounded my tooth down saying that should help since it wasn’t due to her terrible filling work. It didn’t help. I won’t be going back.
