The building and location are are good, hence the 2 stars. It is not concrete build, so if you are sensitive to noise simply know that you will hear your neighbors above you walking.The management team has been far below par. The lack of communication, effective communication, has been shocking. I have heard very good things about the company and was excited to live at one of their buildings. I’m about to move out of The Scot after a year and this was the worst rental experience I’ve had in 10 years. I paid over 2K a month for a ‘new’ 1 bedroom that was advertised to have central air. My unit averaged over 80° all summer, including at night. Often well above 80°. The management company, Red Peak, never replied to emails and sluggishly to work orders I had opened all summer for the AC. Great location. Can't say that strongly enough: great location. Beyond that, the renovations on the building seem to have been cheaply done and already aren't holding up well (having taken about 8 months of constant, non-stop construction and having only been done for about a year). The biggest downside of this property is the management company. Don't move here. Looks are deceiving. Rent is more than advertised, the leasing agents are the least helpful people on earth. If you have maintenance issues you're better off fixing it yourself and you will not be reimbursed for anything they say you will be, or things you should be reimbursed for. Filtration issues thru the whole building and we had WATER in our INTERNET LINES which wasn't fixed for several weeks. The bathrooms WILL fall apart and look like they did originally within weeks, you'll have issues with your door... read more
