Cozy & comfortable; very friendly & locally owned cafe. The Turkish coffee is outstanding - rich & smooth with lovely cardamom overtones. We also really enjoyed the hummus w/rosemary+capers! But the standout was the pita, of all things. This is house-made from lentil flour: think sourdough meets dosa - it's superb! So happy to have places like this to come to when I visit Milwaukee. 😊
Coming from Philly, which has a number of superb vegan restaurants, Temple Goddess Cafe ranks with the best of them. The cuisine is very creative, the presentation is appetizing, and the flavor combinations are fabulous. Talking with co-founder/chef Greg Cilmi, his passion for creating great tasting, healthy food prepared with the highest quality ingredients was palpable.
