We took on a house with floors ruined by a dog and years of sun. I assumed replacement. They said sanding would take out the scratches, but the fading in front of the window was another matter and might still show a little. They told me that before we started, which I appreciated. In the end it came out better than expected and you have to know where to look to see the shading. The whole job ran clean and the smell was gone quicker than I expected. Very happy with how it turned out.

Had a big stretch of floors done through the living room and hall. They started with a walkthrough and told us exactly what to expect with the sanding and drying time. No surprises on price either. Found a few good options around highland park but these guys answered every question I had. The color match on the repair section is spot on

We had TrueGrain refinish about 1,400 square feet of oak floors that hadn't been touched in probably 25 years. There were dark spots near the kitchen where water had gotten under the finish, deep scratches in the hallway, and a weird patchy look in the bedrooms where rugs used to be. After they finished, the whole floor looks like one continuous piece of wood instead of a patchwork of damage. Our floors were in rough shape when we bought the house. Big dark stains near the kitchen, deep scratches running through the living room, and a section by the back door that had cupped from old water damage. Two other companies told us parts of it would need to be replaced and quoted us a lot more because of that.
