Best primary care doctor I have ever had in over 50 years. Also good response time on messages.
Seemed very personable and knowledgable. Lots of practical tips for weight loss. Helped me eliminate all of my medications except one (needed for genetics reasons and not curable). Have recommended Dr. Naiman to many other people.
Dr Naiman is second to none. He responds to messages seemingly within minutes, every time. His focus on diet and exercise SHOULD be the norm in healthcare, but other doctors don't know enough about it to make solid recommendations. Not Ted! Especially for autoimmune issues like diabetes, you CANNOT do better than Ted for your PCP. The Issaquah office has ample parking.
Dr. Naiman took over my care and immediately suggested my medications that cause weight gain could be replaced with meds that treat the same conditions but are known to cause weight loss. He then explained insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome (words I had never heard before), and in this 15 min appointment 15 years ago, changed the entire course of my life (and I know where it was going—it did not end well for my diabetic mother and grandmother). Not only was my physical exam incomplete, Dr. Naiman had a medical student examine me, and then he only spent 3 minutes with me afterwards.
Very professional, knowledgeable & trustworthy. Easy to speak with.
Low carb approach had transformed my health (down 90lbs, all measured health markers in normal if not optimal ranges). Ted is straight forward and cost conscious regarding unnecessary tests or treatments but willing to work with you when you believe a test is necessary. He has been using his approach for over 20 years and knows what works and what doesn't.
