At the end of August, I went to Dr. Kovacev for what I thought was a routine draining of a cyst. Turns out I needed a full on surgery. He had me on the docket next day. Both the day surgery team at CHI and his team in his private practice were wildly professional and fantastic at their job. I thought this level of healthcare was unavailable south of the Beltway. We followed his post op instruction and the wound healed up in no time. I would recommend Dr. Kovacev and staff 11 times out of 10.

Terrible! Went in for colonoscopy! 1st nurse took my BP and it read 189/120, which was wrong. She said their monitors haven't been working properly, asked me my normal BP and I said 130/70, so she wrote that down. Next nurse came in and I let her know about that and she was in disbelief. Doc came in and played dumb about malfunctioning monitors and talked to me for 2 minutes about whole process and scheduled date for procedure and said someone would follow up with more details with a call. I am beyond thankful for a surgeon who went beyond the normal patient care to ensure my dad got the help he needed to heal his foot instead of saying just cut it off. Dr. Ted Kovacev fought hard with the insurance to find a vascular surgeon who could see my dad and try to restore blood flow to his foot asap. He made call after call until he found someone who said yes. Any other surgeon would have just cut his foot off, but Dr. Kovacev has fought hard to make it heal.
