Being from out of town, when I'm in the St. Louis I always make plans to visit Ted Drewes. Today was no exception. I must say for the first time ever that I was disappointed with the quality of my turtle concrete. They had to remake it because they said the first one was too runny. The one they finally handed me was just as runny - they certainly couldn't have served it upside down, it would have all poured out of the dish. THE BEST...and I mean....THE BEST....custard around! It is so fresh, I think they have a cow back there! Love the Trinidad (vanilla custard with delicious oatmeal cookie mixed thoughout)! YUM!!! We make it a point to stop at Ted Drewes whenever we visit St. Louis. 😋

The best vanilla concretes you will ever find. I was brought here as a child by my grandfather, 60 years ago. Great then, great now. Don't visit St. Louis without a trip to Ted Drewes.
Ted Drewes is always excellent, howlever I wish it didn't melt so fast. We always have to eat it so fast because by the time you get it it's already thinning out quickly and turning into a shake :/ we would buy bigger sizes if they were thicker and lasted longer
