An aggressively awful evening. It was like being forced to watch all the other children at a piano recital. I took my fiancee for our anniversary and hope she will marry me anyway. Was presented as 2.5 hours but actually took four and felt like twelve. I spent half the night blinded by a giant spotlight shining in my face. Humor segments were spot-on if your favorite movie is Meet the Spartans. Food was high school cafeteria-grade.
Excellent show, great food, terrible seating. – First of all, I must mention that we went to an evening three hour dinner presentation of the "Radio Free Starlight" production in February 2011. I know that the menu and show changes from season to season and varies based on whether or not it's the full dinner presentation. The Good: The Show: This was an extremely professional production with an amazingly talented cast. It was part theater and part circus. The aerialists were incredible and the hula hoop act was impressive. T... read more
Teatro Zinzanni "Maestro’s Menagerie" – I've been dying to see Teatro Zinzanni for years and finally had the opportunity to step into the tent for their latest production, "Maestro's Menagerie." For those who aren’t familiar, Teatro ZinZanni is an original show that combines European cirque, cabaret, illusions, live music and dinner to create a veritable Moulin Rouge it's like Cirque du Soileil light - with dinner. When I first stepped into the tent, I was swept up into a another world surrounded by red velvet, Venetians mas... read more
Making fun of heavy audience members is not funny – I went to see Zinzanni with my family for Mother's Day. At one point they pulled a heavy audience member on stage and made a series of jokes about his weight. The stage actor pretended to be a sumo wrestler and bumped the man, grabbed the heavy man's stomach and blamed the heavyset man for breaking a piece of equipment because his weight. I'm paying $100 to watch someone be humilated? I've been to Zinzanni 3 times before and will never go again. Surely, they can come up wit... read more
My wife and I are proud to have ZinZanni as a business in Seattle. Our favorite Cabaret to go to and dearly love it and the people who work there. Drinks are too costly.
Wonderful Show, Great Food - Watch out for Drink Prices!! – I'm going to start out with the positives. Read below for the negatives. If you drink while you're out - don't skip that over! My friend and I never go out to shows, so we decided to treat ourselves and try this out. We are so happy that we did! Teatro ZinZanni was a wonderful show! Well worth the money for 3 hours of entertainment & a 5 course meal. I read the reviews before we purchased, checked out the website & thought it would be fun. I read that there would be... read more
Spectacular Evening! – Me and my boyfriend attended a showing of A Rosa de Rio for my birthday and had an excellent time! The food was served with flair and tasted delicious. I can't say enough about the performers! I was either laughing or screaming and sometimes singing along. The money was well spent for a night out and for what we got in return--I haven't had such a night of classy entertainment in years. I would say it's a must see.
Best night out in Seattle by far!! – My husband and I went to Teatro with a group of friends at the end of March 2008 and we had a great time!!! The tent, the service, the food and the show were all amazing! The group sales lady - Kristine was really helpful. See you at the new show this summer!
What happened?!?!?! – This used to be a go-to event, not anymore! Show was very "high-school" and the food was horrible. I last went to Zinzani 4 years ago and it was excellent. Now, it's on par with a medieval dinner show in the south. The only thing that was missing was a couple of jousters and some lame Excalibur act. Boo Zinzani, and BOOOOO Tom Douglas for putting your name on that horrible food. Would not recommend until they get back to basics.
