Place looked so nice for 10 yr. old birthday party. They definitely need extra help. Waited also to buy something in gift shop but no one available. Sandwiches very good, food display very nice. Soup needs something better. All in all, they seem to try their best. I would say... give them a chance.

I heard all over that there is a new owner to the tea room and new clothing store opening? Will everything stay the same or will the new owner Tiffany Gay be changing things?? Ww hope it all remains the same.
I have been going here for 25+ years through several owners. This is still one of my favorite tea places. However, a few suggestions.. please make your soup from scratch. We could tell it was from a mix. Perhaps Bear Creek? Also, the prices were a bit too high. I paid $75.00 (this included tip) for 2 people, I think it was a bit much. The quiche was lovely and the sandwiches were fresh and tasty . The scones were wonderful. A lovely place ! We found it by accident. Food was excellent, service was excellent.
Service was worse than slow. I had to get up and find a waitress to get milk and sugar for my tea. By then it was cold. We had reservations for noon, were seated relatively on time but didn't get our food till 1. By that time they had run out of the quiche we wanted. I also had to go find someone to pay my bill. There were only two waitresses for a place that was overpacked. The air conditioning was inadequate. We were dressed for a fancy tea and ended up dripping sweat.
