Loved the whole experience! The ambience and the wonderful teas and fabulous treats are worth a visit! I will be recommending to my friends and family and I will definitely be back for a visit.
Came here for afternoon tea, relaxing atmosphere with tasty tea. Lots if varieties to choose from. I had the Tea Rises blend. Tea fare was really well crafted palette wise, cucumber sandwiches, scones, and wow that lemon curd!! Totally worth the visit!!
As we wanted to meet for Afternoon Tea somewhere in between our respective homes - my friend Paula and I are from northeastern Connecticut and we were meeting friends from the Ansonia area - we chose Tea Roses Tea Room as a good "in the middle" location. I was there today with Paula Roswell (whose review is below) and the four of us ladies loved everything. The blueberry lemon cake was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had cream of portabello mushroom soup to start and it was also delicious! The tea room offers a relaxing atmosphere and we certainly didn't feel rushed at all, which is how we felt when we went for afternoon tea last year at an unnamed place in Connecticut.
My daughters treated me to Afternoon Tea at Tea Roses Tea Room as my Mother's Day gift. What a charming little gem of a place. The Teas were delicious and the atmosphere delightful. We like Mother/Daughter outings and this was a unique way to spend an afternoon together. Fruit, cheeses, soup and finger foods are served in an elegant setting. We wore our Fascinators and really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea Experience! Highly recommend spending a relaxing afternoon at Tea Rose's Tea Room with special family and friends.
Wonderful place with great food, phenomenal teas and a wonderful gift shop! Peggy and her staff are lovely, it's one of my favorite places.
