Terrible bank!! I'm moving my money! Terrible customer service
I originally was being help by Aidan at the branch to transfer an RESP from a different bank to TD which took almost one whole year. I kept calling wealthsimple to check if they received the transfer request and they never did. TD would blatantly lie to me that the request was sent multiple times when it actually never was. TD would never follow up with me on the process or make any effort to make the situation better except lie to me. This went on for one whole year. There are rarely enough tellers here and with hardly anyone in the bank you can end up waiting over 30min to be seen. I’ve had to leave early without being seen on multiple occasions because the hour block I make in the day isn’t enough. Otherwise, friendly, helpful staff.
Seemed good at first but ended up getting a poor defensive attitude instead of an explanation after I have spent a lot of my own time trying to take the right steps to achieve what we were trying to do. Initial appointment seemed great, after that, not so much. I spoke with a different lady at the branch and she was very kind and took her time with me to explain the situation.
