It is not just a matter of charging the client and doing mediocre work; the DMV refuses to process the title transfer because they claim the notary did not do the job correctly. There were cross-outs or smudges that should have been stamped or initialed by the notary—but weren't—and for that reason, I have been unable to transfer the title.
