John came recommended from a friend - and I had quite a ‘bucket of bolts’ of a car (an Austin Healey / MG / Datsun Frankenstein) for him to contend with! John has been outstanding to deal with. Could not more highly recommend.

John is a great mechanic, knowledgeable, and an expert on Datsuns. The only issue we had is a major one that other customers should be aware of if having a large project done at Tayell automotive. Our quote was for $12K of work and John’s invoice was for $18K cash. The only issue was there was no notification or approval between the quote and final invoice, and my partner’s car was left unroadworthy. Fantastic workshop, brilliant service. John knows Datsuns like no one else. He is a first rate mechanic and I recommend him highly.

Thanks so much for helping out with a friend’s broken headlights. Called him on a Saturday afternoon and he was kind enough to stay back and help out. Going into a long weekend, was going to be hard to find a mechanic anywhere! Super courteous and efficient! Thank you!
