REMARKABLE FOOD & EXCELLENT SERVICE I grew up in Richfield and have always been a fan of the Tavern of Richfield. It??s a great place to celebrate occasions and just take a night out of the kitchen! One of my close friends had her wedding reception here and also her baby shower, both with exceptional service and wonderful food!
New owner same old boring food. in the fall of 2010, the ownership changed once again. Along with that change we thought the menu would change for the better. Did it? NO. Did it change at all? NO Do we think the new owner will put their own stamp on a menu? Doubt it. Why wouldn't you want to showcase your food and menu instead of a failed place from the previous owner. Great Evening! Five of us had a wonderful evening Dec. 28, 2010. Service and food were great. We enjoyed meeting the new young owner. Our waitress has worked there for years and was a font of information and suggestions. The Tavern is still charming and warm...after all these years.
never again was there on 12/17/10 the place wasn't very busy and it still took a long time to get are food..for the price i would rather go somewhere else that knew how to prepare food the correct way.Don't know if they have a real chef or just some kids in the kitchen putting food on a plate..my advice just stay away,was there a few years ago,and it was much better it must have changed hands since i was there before.
Good food - awesome patio We ate on the patio on Friday evening. The patio is very pretty, nicely landscaped, quiet and spacious. Our food was very good to good. I had the roasted beet & tomato soup for starters - amazing flavor. The rack of lamb was just right and the arugula-tomato-feta salad it was served on was interesting accompaniment. Excellent Sunday Brunch We came for Sunday brunch and it was delicious! There was a great variety and the food was fresh. The staff was courteous and attentive. I have made reservations to go again!
Worth the drive I won a gift certificate from a local radio station for the Taverne of Richfield. We live about 30 minutes away and usually don't go that far for dinner. But it was well worth the drive. The service was great and the food was well priced and delicious. I will be going back again.
rehearsal dinner I attended a rehearsal dinner here recently and was very impressed. The Tavern is a huge old house. The atmosphere was charming and the food was wonderful. The serving staff was attentive and even helped with photographs. The restrooms were clean and the parking lot was well lighted and smooth. (See what us old people notice?)
