my band(Quartet of Catastrophe)plays there frequently ..The food is fantastic, they have a wonderful , rotating menu of craft beer and the staff is awesome
I have been going to Tavern on the Lake since I moved to Hightstown. I work nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I occasionally stop in for a nightcap after a rough day. TONIGHT after working hard and walking in a little after 12. I was denied a drink because I missed last call by a minute or two. This is so disappointing being I used to be a regular. Keyword used to be. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Come to Exit 8, right down the road, where they actually stay open till when their hours are posted.
Have been there for dinner/drinks and live bands. Always a good time and the bartenders are great!

Burger platters were delicious! Enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Drinks where very tasty.
Jocelyn is an old friend and co-worker I was thrilled to find behind the bar! Richie is my new favorite BT-after only 2 or 3 long-spaced visits he still remembered my name! As a lifelong BT I truly appreciate that!
Best Mozzarella sticks I've ever had ! Service was pretty good considering how busy it was as well
