I went in to the tavern to speak to the owner about a sponsorship/donation to our local high school. Being a local business within our community i would expect some courtesy. This is not what i was given. I stopped in around 2pm, early in the day, plently of time before opening. Simply saying hi and im dropping off some info about our school requesrinh a sponsorship or a donation. Service was good. Cocktail was tasty. Chicken and Eggplant skillet was good. Friend with me loved the salmon. Was surprised it wasn't busy at dinner on a Friday night.
Overall the food and service was ok. There was nothing that was bad and nothing that was outstanding. Although for the prices. I expect better service and food. The calamari appetizer was good. Spinach salad was also good, cheese on top was a little much and the procutitto was just ok. Entrees were good as well, but the borderlaise sauce was watery with no flavor. Steak was cook perfectly. Took my wife and daughter out for Valentines day for the 2nd year in a row. The filet was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The Halibut was spectacular! Overall it was a great experience! 5 Stars! Can't wait to go back!
We brought in the New Year for 2018. Service was impeccable, Andres did an amazing job being attentive to our needs, almost made you forget how cold the actual dining room was. The coldness in the dining room actually made the dining experience uncomfortable. The bathrooms were worse with no hot water to wash your hands but plenty of icy water. The food was delicious & our steaks were cooked perfectly. Overall we were pleased with our visit & intend to return at some point.
If it were a moderately priced place it would squeak out a four. For the money it's a three at best. Servers were attentive. One meal had to go back thanks to shattered mussel shells strewn throughout. Steaks were average.
