The spot to go in El Segundo – Knockout Loves the Tavern! We have done our company Christmas Party there numerous years in the past as well as Celebration parties for some of our fighters after a win. The side room they have with all the flat screens is awesome and you can find some great things to eat on the menu. Its more than just "bar food" for sure. Prices are super competitive and staff is great!
Sewage on Bathroom Floor – I would not recommend this place. The bathroom floor was soaking wet like the toilet had overflowed. I alerted the bartender and he said that sometimes the toilet overflows if people try to flush too much toilet paper. He didn't make an effort to have anyone go clean it. He just expected customers to live with sewage on the floor with an "it happens" attitude. The place seems to be having trouble with cleanliness all around. Terrible, Just Terrible – I have gone to this place a few times and each time has been worse than the last. First of all it is always like 80 degrees inside, which makes it uncomfortable from the start. I don't know if it because I go later at night or what, but the service is terrible, no one ever comes by to take your order or to even say hi, and this has happened at least twice. I would avoid this place when possible, like always.
Fun Local Bar – Okay, let me break it down. The Tavern, aka The Tavvy to those who frequent it often, is one of the few remaining true local bars in Los Angeles. If you are hoping to see Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie (with or without dinner plate sunglasses), Lindsey Lohan or any other member of young Hollywood and their respective rodent-esque dogs, this isnt the place for you.
