We had dinner at La Taverne, and considering the sky-high pricing, I was expecting attentive service and great food. Unfortunately I was disappointed on both. First the good news. I had the lamb chops ($78), which were tasty, albeit not a full rack. The onion soup however, supposedly a signature dish, came out charred on one side (see pic). Service was amazing. That being said the pricing was a bit dramatic for what was served.
Food and service was fantastic! The one thing that made my husband and I not want to go back though was the other guests. Every time we listened to the tables around us they were stuck up, rude to the servers and excessively loud. If u get a good table with respectful people around you, then 5 star experience. If not, just try and focus on your food and ignoring the people around you.
