This place is an oddity for us at the Broadmoor. The ambiance alone is very dated and odd. The lighting is horrendous. I felt like we were under a bug lamp. The interior needs a make over in the worst way possible. It was depressing at best. It reminds me of a Long John Silver's from 1982. Our server was odd and perhaps newer. I would definitely not choose this restaurant when visiting the Broadmoor. The other options are way better. However if you must go, insist on sitting in the "Jardin" as it is a more upbeat and bright.
All service providers seems to be from other parts of the world. Our server states that they’re mostly from foreign countries and they’re on 1 year internship visas to learn hospitality management. Why not hire local from within our community? Main courses are minimal portions played on white dishes with minimal creative flair. Good food, good atmosphere excellent service great staff.
The food was amazing. The service was awesome and very kind. The atmosphere is very nice especially in the garden area. If you're looking for a lavish meal I would recommend coming here. Expect to spend at least $75 on your meals. Cocktails were$30 but they come with two drinks. I do recommend the wagyu and frites meal. Also take any special that they offer!
Had a reservation for our anniversary with that mentioned up front. Not a single mention of it during our entire time there. I even asked at the host stand and 20 minutes later after I had decided to leave the manager was heading to see us. For a restaurant of this level to not check and include notes from their reservation system is embarrassing. I have had better interactions at IHOP.
