I live at 246 East 60th Street, a building managed by Taube Management. I agree with the most recent OpenIgloo review, which accurately captures the experience with this company. The principal, often referred to by residents as “Uncle Miltie,” relies on an extremely litigious approach to tenant matters. Milton Taube of Taube Management Realty, LLC, oversees NYC properties where tenants have faced recurring bed-bug infestations, fire-code concerns (as noted in a 2006 New York Times piece involving his role as managing agent), and inadequate responses to complaints about disturbances and maintenance. Lived in one of Mr. Milton Taube's buildings for many years. While I never met him personally, I’ve had the pleasure of interacting extensively with his staff. They are a great team of professionals—Ms. Janet Kane (זכרונה לברכה), Mercedes Viera-Serrano, and the other staffers I’ve spoken with have all been incredibly kind and helpful with the typical issues that come with living in NYC.
