Dr. Tate refused to give me a cast for my broken wrist, instead opting for a carpal tunnel brace. This left me unable to use my dominant hand, unable to work, and unable to care for myself in a city where I did not have family/a strong support system. I was also in excruciating pain. I ultimately had to go to Lexington to seek adequate care, and to this day, I feel that Dr. Tate is the most negligent medical 'professional' I have ever encountered.
This man did absolutely nothing for me. I had a fractured wrist and a splint when I arrived. He promptly had the splint removed to examine the injury, causing me excruciating pain. I was actually crying through 3/4 of the appointment due to that pain, and doctor tate never acknowledged it. Instead, he slapped a carpal tunnel brace on it and told me I would be fine– But I wasn't fine. I was an adult with no family in town and an inability to use my right arm at all(my dominant side, mind you) as a result of his care. And this... read more
Rushed, terse, constantly late for appointments, no opportunity to ask questions. Ultimately had an unsuccessful surgery.
Dr. Tate is a wonderful Doctor. He did surgery on my thumb about a year ago and it is perfect. He removed a large cyst and you can’t tell that there was anything done to my thumb. I did not have any bad reactions or experiences. His team and staff during the surgery were the best and took great care of me. Everything went well during the surgery and Dr. Tate was very caring and attentive. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Tate did thumb surgery on me on an emeregncy basis on Easter morning, April 12, 2020. I severed a portion above the top first joint of my thumb the afternoon before, breaking the bone in half and requiring the two sides of my thumb be stitched back together and a pin put in to stabilize the bone. Dr, Tate did an excellent job of repairing the tear and it has mended well some 12 weeks later, with only minor visible change and some remaining nerve sensitivity, which I understand is normal, and should improve. Without his e... read more
Have always answer my question, witch was mostly concerned thoroughly,I had trigger finger and carpal tunnel surgery in Dec.of 2019 and after just completing therapy last week I am abt 90%,Dr.Tate done a wonderful job on both,Thanks
Dr Tate needs to receive extra training on his conduct and behavior with the patients he treats, especially his patient care. He speaks to patients in a condescending manner. Physician makes unwelcome remarks that makes patients feel uncomfortable. He’s cold and biases to his simple views. I have seen this doctor for 4 visits and can’t believe how he treats his patients. I can’t believe Norton’s employs such a physician without compassion or the education to use his words appropriately.
Dr. Tate performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands on two separate occasions this year (2019). My results were excellent and I highly recommend him for this procedure. Dr. Tate was referred by my internist whom I highly regard.
Terrible would never recommend dr Tate. He could care less about me as a patient after he cut me up!!!!
