We started a project 4 years ago on our house and we are still dealing with Steve. He could be a great builder if he stood on principles like telling the truth and having an ounce of integrity. We caught him in sooo many lies. His subs would show up, walking around our house, asking for money. They reported that Steve told them we hadn’t paid him, which was utter nonsense, as we paid Steve every cent up front (dumb and trusting as we were.) He lied about little things. Please save yourself the agony and find someone else, worst experience of my life. Tate was never on site, unlicensed plumbers were hired that clearly did not know what they were doing, expensive pluming fixtures were thrown away never to be replaced, hot and cold pipes were mixed up. Upstairs washer wasn't properly connected, water poured down our walls on first use. All four showers had faulty pan installation because an unqualified mason was used for tilework and pan. I have first hand knowledge of multiple clients that say Tate is a terrible homebuilder. My neighbor had a major project through Tate that took years and eventually they had to do the work. Another is an industry professional that has had to come behind Tate multiple times and re-manage to the get the projects back on track.
