What a fantastic bit of nostalgia! We've driven by for years, but finally stopped last month since we had an out-of-town relative staying with us. We've been back twice since then because it's just fun. The food is good and everyone's very nice, and of course the prices are better than what you'd pay for corporate crap at a fast food place. This is just one of those places that I know my kids are going to remember long after they've grown up!
We had vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and hot fudge sundae, were delicious.
We stopped in to get ice cream, but changed our minds when we saw they had snow cones. We were very disappointed that what we got was more of a slushie. Crushed ice with a LOT of syrup. Not a snow cone.

I'm sorry you didn't like our snow cones. The ice that is used is nugget ice which is great for drinks, but lacking in the "snow" when used in our antique 1950's snow cone maker. We had checked to see if updating the snow cone machine to one of the modern ones would make "snow" better, but it did the same with our nugget ice. I imagine when the Tasty Dip was first built this wasn't a problem due to the type of ice produced at that time. We are definitely known more for our ice cream.
Their grape milkshake is da bomb!! I've always loved the tasty dip!!
