Quick service, perfect portions, and a great price. This place is authentic and serves fresh cooked Thai dishes chock full of fresh veggies, thick pieces of meat, and spicy and non-spicy dishes. My lunch favorite is the Red Curry chicken dish (kaeng phet) with steamed white rice, which comes with lemon grass soup and for $7.50 (American hot, Thai hot is extremely hot and spicy).

I would have to disagree with the previous post. I have been to this restaurant 3 times now and have been pleased every time with the food and service. The Pad Thai is very good as is the Panang curry. I also thought the Tom Yom soup was good. I have vacationed in Thailand twice and would have to say that the dishes are not as spicy as you will find in Bangkok or Chaing Mai but the flavors are pretty authentic. I plan to eat here again soon.

WORST RESTAURANT TO GO TO! When I first enter the restaurant, my impression was its very dated and old. I thought to myself, well the food must not be very good. Server was okay, lack of experience in my opinion. The cashier is very rude! food wasn't great at all! we ordered pad se u, it tasted like crap...the noodle was hard. the Pad Thai didn't even look like a pad thai...it was pale...yuck! The curry is too light...the crab meat cheese rolls was small and salty! oh...we wen't on lunch...so we supposed to get the sides...t... read more

Now as an almost 30 yrs old adult, I live 30 mins away and anytime I'm in Norcross this is where I go. DRUNKUN NOODLES ALL THE WAY!! I can't find it anywhere else. THE ABSOLUTE BEST

Spicy Basil Leave Chicken is the best thing I've ever eaten – Taste of Thai is one of the two "must go to" restuarants I take out of town friends when they visit Atlanta. I used to work around the Jimmy Carter area, and a friend turned me onto the place back in 1998. From 1999-2000, I ate there at least once a week, sometimes more. I have only had one dish - the Spicy Basil Leave Chicken. I'm sure the whole menu is great, but the Spicy Basil Leave Chicken is so phenomenal that I can't take a chance on ordering something else... read more

reply to hydrenalins review – I was the cashier at Taste of Thai.. I am actually the daughter of the owner there... we've been there since 1989... business is still good... once in a while we will come across difficult customers...and we will try to do our best to correct the problem.. but this guy hydrenalin was being terribly rude from the beginning... he ordered something and decided he didn't want it and ordered something else... we changed it for him, he wanted me to fix his bill.. and i asked him if he'd like me to sho... read more

Below average food followed by even worse service. – Thai food has become very popular in Atlanta. Thai restaurants have popped up all over the place. I have dined at several Thai restaurants ranging from small strip mall locations to upscale affair for a total of over 20 different Thai restaurants. I decided to give this one a try recently. I went with friends during lunch time. The dining area was very sparsely decorated and very dated. I hoped that the food would make up for the atmosphere and decor. The serving portions ... read more

Best Lunch Value in Norcross! – It started off small back in the days and it expanded but the food has not changed and the service is very friendly. Its definitely a family run business - they are all very nice! I usually do lunch and what a deal..a whole plate of basil fried chicken or drunken noodles fills you up. It accompanies the soup of the day either lemon grass or coconut chicken soup or you can opt out of soup and get a spring roll or both if you ask. My favorite is the coconut chicken, its probably best soup i have... read more

Best Basil Chicken since 1995! – I lived/worked just of off Jimmy Carter Blvd (the JCB) and our office would always get Taste of Thai's "Basil Chicken". All who have the opportunity to savor this dish, will be in for a wonderful treat. I've sinced moved away, and have eaten at many different Thai restaurants from one coast of the United States & Canada to the other. I can honestly say, that Taste of Thai's Basil Chicken is a unique dish in and of itself, and every time I visit Atlanta for business or pleasure, I always make ... read more
