Good Food, Reasonable Prices, Fast Service – A friend turned me onto this place, so we loaded up the car and tried it for lunch. Everyone got the italian beef sandwich, each slightly different (cheese, peppers, etc), and we were all happy with our selections. For my first time - it was OK. – Originally from California I did a 2 year internship in the Windy City - and in those two years I was blessed to experience the best food in the world! BEST PIZZA IN L.A. – Best pizza in L.A. The pizza is filling and has excellent taste. Atmosphere is like you are in CHICAGO with all the memorabilia on the wall: CUBS, BULLS, WHITE SOX,ETC. If you like pizza , you definitely have to try TASTE CHICAGO.
Food That Must Be Tasted To Be Believed – I live in Burbank and was very happy to see a new restaurant at the corner of Hollywood Way and Verdugo. Previous tenants have been short lived and had sub par food. But Taste Chicago has what I consider to be the best Sicilian pizza I have ever had. Celeb Hype – This place is owned by Joe Montagna and his wife (he plays the father on Joan of Arcadia), hence all the hype. The food is OK, but nothing great. The hot dogs and beef sandwiches DON'T include fries; in fact they don't even have fries, what they have is like baked potato sticks. $3.50 for a hot dog is expensive, then when you add fries and a drink, it's $7. Tiny eatery serves Chicago-style food, including hot dogs, pizza and sandwiches. – In Short Patio tables comprise most of the seating at this small rust-colored restaurant. Inside, the stone-and-steel pizza oven dominates the kitchen, visible from behind the counter. Posters celebrating Chicago hot dogs depict a monstrous Vienna beef being towed down Maxwell Street. There's also spaghetti with meatballs, pizza by the slice or the pie, Italian deli sandwiches, ribs and desserts like frozen custard and cheesecake.
Taste Chicago serves fine FROZEN CUSTARD. Not to be confused with average ice cream, Taste Chicago's frozen custard is smooth and creamy, richer than most ice creams and soft serves, and healthier, extremely like frozen yogurt but with outstanding flavor.
